After safety hazards arose, Ambler Architects was brought in to redesign the Phillips Plaza. This project was completed in 3 stages to allow for flexibility and to keep safe areas for employees to enter the surrounding buildings during construction.

The client wanted a place where their employees could relax during breaks and a space where they could host large events. The pavilions were downsized from 3 to 1, allowing for more grass and landscape to be installed. Heated pavement was installed at the building entrances, helping to avoid ice buildup during the winter.
