The Martin Luther King Center serves as a community hub for many residents of Muskogee, OK. Knowing that the community would be the ones using this multi-purpose space, Ambler Architects relied on them to express what they wanted out of their new building.

Located near the heart of the city, this new 20,500 square foot facility serves as a replacement for the existing, aging center.  With an increase in student and community involvement, the Martin Luther King Center provides adequate space for the growing After School, Night Hoops, and Summer Youth Feeding Programs.

The new facility includes a community room, kids classrooms, public classrooms, recreation areas, eating area, commercial kitchen, community resource room, and support spaces.  The exterior amenities include a new basketball court and playing fields, with room for future additions.
