After a new Bartlesville High School cafeteria was built, there was no use for the previous space. The 70 year old cafeteria was transformed into a STEM center after receiving a large donation from ConocoPhillips. This became the first STEM specific lab in Oklahoma Public Schools.

Transforming a 70 year old cafeteria presented its share of challenges, but the new space allows students to dive deeper into areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. The design includes industrial touches from the exposed board foam concrete ceiling and modern features, including colorful tile accents and a graphic mural that highlights the floorplan of the space.
