Utilizing a building originally constructed in the 1920s, the Pioneer Woman Boarding House is a one-of-a-kind "cowboy luxury" hotel in the heart of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Taking inspiration from the history of the building and style of the owners, Ambler Architects created eight unique suites in nine-months construction time.
Constructed in 1920, the building housed "The Indian Silk Shop," as well as "Curios and Pickens Ready-to-Wear." Ambler Architects took inspiration from the original building, as well as Ree Drummond's style, and created eight unique suites. The suites range in theme from the Emerald Room, which features pops of saturated green, to the Ranch Room, where inspiration is taken straight from the Drummond Ranch. Each suite takes on a distinct feel and theme. Guests who stay at the Pioneer Woman Boarding House get the opportunity to experience life in a small town through the eyes of two people who call the Osage Prairie 'Home'.
